Not very durable The rope was chewed apart within 10 minutes of having the toy and the rubber part is now in several pieces. My one dog can destroy almost anything which she did with this toy but my foster puppy is still enjoying what is left of it. Of course he also wants to eat the pieces of rubber that came off so be warned to watch them when they play with it.
Careful if you have strong chewers! We bought one of these for our then8monthold Golden/Lab cross and for a couple of weeks it was a fun pull toy for her. She quickly removed all of the red fabric and rope though. [Ours was the reverse of the colors shown yellow rubber red cloth/rope] This past week we briefly fostered a 12monthold lab who was a stronger chewer than our pup and within two minutes of having this toy she had torn it apart and removed several small pieces of rubber from it rendering it useless. After our foster left we purchased a second one for the golden/lab and this one she almost instantly ripped apart removing the red roping from around the rubber and then tearing the rubber itself apart. While I recognize that this toy is intended as a pull toy it seems it should be able to stand up to 30 seconds of chewing as well it does not. If you purchase this toy and have a dog that is a stronger chewer be sure to supervise him/her closely and play with the toy only as a fetch or pull toy. Overall it does well as a pull toy but does not seem to stand up to any chewing.
