Great in Concept but Horrible Execution. I tried this KONG Squeezz Ball with my German Shepherd. It was really bouncy and fun to play with. Yet within few days the ball broke. What I did not realize was that the ball comes into two parts the ball itself and some kind of a hollow roll inside. Now let me ask this simple question to KONG did you really perform research tests to see if the ball will hold up over time after the constant chewing on the ball? It is exactly why the ball broke so easy it's just not hard to figure out. Either the product should cease to be made or be reinvented in a way that it is inone part! Stupid product. I am sticking with Orka Balls which is unbelievably durable for months.
Lasted 10 minutes. My westie loved this toy for ten minutes before the unattached squeaker end poked out and he bit it off. Bummer.
Not for heavy chewers This toy looks and sounds great. I bought this toy as well as the one shaped like a large nubbed stick. The squeeling sound is irresistable to dogs with any sort of prey drive and the colors are nice and bright. However if your dog is a heavy chewer that is where the positives end. My dog ripped the this toy in half in less than 10 minutes and that was the end of that. The stick shaped one stopped squeeking after my dog chewed off one end after 5 minutes and had half of the toy chewed into 50+ pieces in about 15 minutes. I overpaid for mine at a big box store and it ended up being $30 for about 15 minutes of fun and a big mess for me to clean up.
Great for 2 hours then becomes two toys Like the other reviews this ball lasts only hours before the glue breaks and the center tube with the squeeker comes out. Our Jack Russell still loves the outer ball so I can't decide if I should take it back to petco or not. The only reason to keep it is it doesn't damage his teeth like tennis balls do. But if it causes him to get asthma attacks like the ORKA ball as it deteriorates it will be gone.
Danguerous ball I got this ball from Kong and I am dissapointed. The ball got broken easy but that is not the worse part. My dog when he was chewing the ball got his nose stuck in the sides of the ball causing him a scratch and difficulties to remove the ball from his mouth. I threw away this ball to the garbage because it is a bad and danguerous product.
Great concept poor quality My Golden Retriever LOVED this ball until the ball tore after three days of use. At that point it was only a matter of time before he sunk his teeth in to it to tear pieces out of it. Considering the poor reviews that this ball carries even on Kong's own website I would strongly recommend against it.
