Sticky mess We bought the large senior Kong about 6 months ago for our greyhound who is not a chewer in any way shape or form. The kong is still in perfect condition with one exception. The area around the bottom opening is a sticky mess. The rubber is oozing a stickiness that doesn't wash off. We have two original Kongs for our pit bull and they are the same age as our senior Kong. The original Kongs are in perfect conditionthey aren't oozing anything.
Simple dog chew soft for the old timers. We have used Kongs before. The red version. Dogs loved them. My 12 yr old beagle needed some play time so we got this. He still likes it. Placing nut butters and dried sweet potatoe inside keeps him busy. He's smart so it does not keep him very occupied for long but a good distraction nonetheless.
Great for older dogs! I have a 12year old basset hound who still has remarkably good teeth but could tell he was struggling a bit with his regular Kong. Got him the senior variety and it is soooo much easier for him. I stuff it with peanut butter honey and a piece of bologna or some pieces of his dog biscuits.
Super Soft for Seniors Bought this for my 9 year old Aussie rescue who is missing many of his teeth. He's not much of a chewer but loves to lick and roll this Kong around to get treats and peanut butter out. It is very soft much more so than any other Kong we own so I wouldn't suggest this for any dog that is a chewer or still has a lot of sharp teeth! He's a lot more interested in this Kong than the Aggressive Chewer one we also own.
Great work out treat toy for Dogs. At first my 11 yr old Maltese Tilly didn't like this. But when she realized there was something to be had inside she went to town working to get out all the yummy peanut butter. I'm so grateful that they came out with one that is for older dogs with teeth issues which my little girl has.
AMAZING ! Better than regular red KONG This is a great toy. It has lasted longer than the red kong for my black lab 1 yr old power chewer. He gets the cookie out easier but the toy itself is harder to destroy. I suggest meaty bones for a perfect fit. Great buy I own 2.
Still tough I actually prefer these over the standard hard Kong..
