  • easy catch frisbee Previously used nylabone frisbee which lasted a very long time & was MUCH easier for my dog to pick up if he did not catch it. However w/ this frisbee the weight makes it easier to throw well & he catches almost every throw! We both LOVE it! He loves it so much sometimes he just grabs it & shakes it around as he prances through the yard. I do not let him chew it so it should last a long time too. Although it's a heavier frisbee the rubber is much softer than the nylabone & probably much more comfortable in his mouth.
Best dog frisbee ever My two labs 1 and 8 years old have been playing with disk for six months now. After more than 20000 retrieves this disk still looks new. A couple of puncture holes are the only sign of wear. Not as easy to throw as a plastic disk but with a little practice 75 yard throws aren't difficult. The rubber stays flexible even at 25 degrees other disks disintegrate with use at those temperatures. Will definitely purchase again.
my dog's favorite My dog loves frisbee and the red Kong frisbee is by far his favorite. It's soft so it doesn't hurt his teeth and it flies just fine for a dog toy. If the kids throw it over the fence and lose it and we have to use another frisbee he keeps looking for his Kong and uses different frisbees only reluctantly. He chewed up his first one about ten years ago so we don't let him tug on it or chew it and he never brings it inside. Just using it as a frisbee it lasts for YEARS. We've never had to replace one just because of wear only because they get lost. They say the new black one is more durable but my dog likes the red one better. I don't know if he prefers the taste or maybe he can see the red better whatever. He likes this one.
Durable but useless The Kong has been ultimately durable for years but you simply can't throw this heavy thing. With some shoulderwrenching practice you could probably throw it a good 25 feet. You may as well throw a dinner plate for them. I have superdog powerchewers and they haven't made the slightest dent in this one but on the other hand maybe that's just because they could not care less about this stupid brick.
Great Frisbee not indestructable This is the best allaround rubber frisbee I have come across. The material is as thick and strong as any other product. It has good weight and despite being somewhat floppy it will fly far and straight. It is of course not indestructible but when used as a frisbee is meant to it will last a long time. My dog doesn't chew these up and it is our favorite to take to the dog park because other dogs will inevitably get ahold of it and rip off part of the edge. It does take quite a bit of force to bite through the material and the only times I see new chunks getting taken out are when a dog gets it to themselves long enough to gnaw on it with their molars. Despite the frisbee having a considerable amount of the edge ripped off it still flys 3040 yards with a good throw.
Shredding Paper = I purchased this because I thought hey it's Kong it should be strong. But I was SoO wrong. The middle part is so thin that my dog's teeth just pierced right though it. After that it went down hill. He shredded the Frisbee/Flyer like it was paper. My dog is a German Pinscher and is only 35lbs. He is not a chewer. This is the faster ten bucks I have wasted.
Kong rubber flyer larg My dogs love the kong rubber flyer very stong and durable. Does not go out of shape even when my dogs decide to try and pull it in two directions still retains it shape.
Not a great choice if your dog has sharp teeth and a propensity to chew up toys I'm bummed. I was hoping that with the image of the Kong brand as being strong toys that this frisbee would hold up. Unfortunately my weim/golden retreiver mix who is 1 year old chewed a bite out of this frisbee on the first playing session. I had planned to take the frisbee away from her after each session because she has destroyed so many toys but while I was only briefly giving some attention to my other dog my weim/golden mix got the best of this Kong Rubber Flyer. I'm sure there are lots of dogs that would get more use out of this toy but because of my dog's super sharp teeth this toy just didn't work out.I will comment on the flight since I had a chance to throw this Kong Flyer about 12 times before it was chewed on. It is heavy and doesn't allow for a great flight. If your dog is really into frisbee catching you may want to try the Hyperflite brand which I really like. Sorry Kong. Maybe I'll try a different Kong toy and have better luck.
SueR We bought one of these about 5 years ago. It has endured major abuse from our 2 dogs a 60 lb shepherd/standard poodle cross and a 45 lb. Australian Shepherd. It is finally time to replace it. It is now a mangled limp noodle but still sails through the air when tossed. I came here looking for a replacement of the exact same item. Our soninlaws pit bull has taken a few cracks at it as well. Love it worth every cent! This dog toy will be a standard toy in our home as long as we have dogs.
