Not for this power chewer Lasted an hour. He already has one end chewed almost entirely off.
Another awesome toy by West Paw Design We got this for a small 19 pound chewer. We got the West Paw Design large Hurley bone at the same time. You can put a treat inside the ball and then push one end of the Hurley bone into the open side of the ball. It took the dog a couple of hours the first time to get the two apart so he could get the treat. The second time 30 minutes and the next time immediately. That's OK. This has a great bounce and you never know which direction it will bounce in. This keeps the dog on his toes. We have prior experience with toys from this company and always return for more. They make long lasting toys that are reasonably priced.
Easier to clean than kong toys While West Paw's Tux toy doesn't seem any tougher than red and black Kongs it is so much easier to clean! I have made stuffed and frozen Kongs for years. When it comes time to clean them I hate having to let them soak because my dogs don't reach all the stuffing at the very bottom. These hold a surprising amount of stuff in a shallower cavity so my dogs always clean everything out. I will be replacing my Kongs with the West Paw Tux toy and donating the Kongs to my local animal shelter.
My dogs love these! My dogs always seem to chew through toys. But these these have withstood the tooth test for more than 6 months! My dogs can't get enough of these. I only wish they wouldn't leave them in the middle of the floor.
Not so tough Was impressed at first with this. Didn't show damage at all for the first little while. Has now been 3 1/2 months and she black lab has been able to take chunks of the plastic off. Kong extreme is far better than this product.
Rugged Toy I have two Labrador Retrievers who can be tough on dog toys. This one has held up well even under tug of war test.Small bones jam into the opening pretty well. Once they know the trick the bones go quickly.
Perfect for stashing jerky treats inside and totally puppy proof! My lab/rottie mix puppies will chew anything and these have definitely stood up to their little razor teeth. We stuff chicken jerky strips inside them and this keeps them occupied for quite some time. Also when thrown they bounce all over the place an added bonus for sure.
My power chewer hasn't destroyed this one! We have a beagle mix with a very strong jaw and she's destroyed just about every toy we've given her but not this one! She loves it and carries it all over the place and likes to pick it up jump on the couch drop it and chase after it! I'll also cram some doggy biscuits in and it keeps her busy when I need her busy for a little while! Will definitely try their other products. We also have a kong and she hadn't destroyed that but she only showed an interest in playing with that when I put treats in it and other than that she'd just ignore that one. Something about the shape of this makes it more interesting for her to grip and play with.
Happy Dog this was great my son's black lab now has a toy he can't destroy and he absolutely loves it. He was so happy to have this toy he was beside himself with joy. Can't praise this product enough.
Amazing! My dog is a VERY serious chewer. She chews through typically durable chew toys within minutes. Anything made of traditional rubber doesn't last long. I bought this product thinking well at least there is a guarantee. I even took several pictures of the product before handing it off to my dog thinking that I needed proof of it's previous state before it was destroyed.I have been AMAZED by how durable this product is. In the 23 months my dog has been playing with this toy it doesn't have a scratch! She has chews through everything but the super industrial Kongs and this fun little blue toy is still spotless. I will be buying more West Paw toys! This is an absolute great product.
