  • My dogs are obsessed with these balls! I have two large dogs who destroy toys. This is the only brand that actually lasts. My dogs are obsessed with them. The only thing I don't like about this particular one is that the rubber that constitutes the planets is easy for the dogs to pull off. They either swallow it or leave it strewn about the house. I'm not excited about either hahaha. Overall Planet Dog Orbee toys are really durable and worth every penny.
Indestructable No Tuff Yes. I bought oone of these for my crazy Dobie chewer. He destroys every toy we get him. So When I found this ball on Sale I figured Eh why not. I gave it to him and 10 mins later the raised parts of the world started falling off No big deal. We peeled the rest of the raised world parts off so now it is just a ball. He and my other Shep/Wolf mix are in love! Yes the toy isnt indestrucable but even if your dog peels off the raised parts the toy isnt destroyed!!! It still can be used at a ball! Im hooked. Dogs are hooked. We are happy.
DANGEROUS My 14# puppy had the ball all of 3 minutes when some of the outside peeled off. I managed to grab a piece of rubber the size of a quarter just before Nick swallowed it. He either would've crapped a UFO or I'd have been spending the night in the delightfully expensive and chaotic animal hospital. I looked at the outside of the ball and grabbed the side of the green plastic it peeled off easy. I know I'm a wrong girl but if this is Tuff enough for powerful chewers then i should probably be trying out for MMA.I'll be adding a few pics of what peeled off.
Great ballbut 1 solid piece would make it excellent! Popeye my 10 month old English bulldog loves it and so do I. Yes it's tough but after 2 days he's started to remove the green land pieces. This ball would be perfect if it was all one solid piece. I'll definitely be purchasing more of orbee's 5 chomper rated chew toys. He still hasn't damaged the ball itself so it's a keeper.
great product I give all planet dog products 5 stars. Ok so the parts that look like a globe are glued on big deal watch your dog and pick them off when they rip. I have only really had the relief maps come off on the balls when they are not big enough for the dog. What I mean by that is my dal loves the small ball. He loves to catch it in mid air. So I just watch him while he is doing that and then I take the pieces off the ball and the ball is fine. I have had some of these balls since they first came out and they are still in perfect shape. I would give this ball a try and just get over that the maps might come off and watch if you see they have loosened you can just trim them off and get right back to playing.
Perfect for the busy dog These toys were recommended to us to keep our Pointers busy when they were in their kennels and they have been perfect. Soft enough to keep your dogs' chewing habits from getting too strong yet tough enough to handle repeated freezings and chewing. We fill ours with peanut butter freeze them then give them to the dogs to keep them busy. We have repeated this cycle daily for almost a year and these toys look and feel as though brand new.
Orbee dog ball The map on the ball is suppose to come off. Depends on how aggressive a chewer your dog is determines how fast it comes off. It helps to clean their teeth. That is the idea behind the ball. The ball itself last a long time.
Planet Dog Tuff Orbee Balls This is the most fantastic dog toy we have owned. My cocker/lab cross is not a real fan of tennis balls or other dog toy balls. He will fetch them once and then walk away. These balls he carries around ALL THE TIME. He will play for hours in the yard fetching them. You hardly ever see him without one of these in his mouth. When he has his ball his tail is wagging all the time. The only problem is he loves them so much he thinks he should hide them. He works very hard to hide them and we have to watch him so we can get it out of hiding later for him. He has hidden two of them so well we haven't found them for months.
Orbee Ball I bought 3 orbee balls 6 months ago 1 small/2.5 inch and 2 Med/3.5 inch and they have held up very well. I currently have 3 dogs and my lab/GSD mix plays with hers all the time. It literally is the only toy I allow her to use unsupervised because it is very difficult for her to destroy and on average she plays with it 34 hours a day. Yesterday I noticed some cracking around the holes of her orbee ball so that one will need to be replaced shortly but the other 2 a Beagle and Lab plays with their orbee balls light to moderately and theirs still look brand new. So for any toy used heavily to last a dog 6 months is fantastic. Be aware that the continents WILL peel off rather easily as my GSD/lab conquered all of Europe after having it 20 minutes however the ball itself is one piece and holds up well. Also make sure you get a ball size appropriate to the size of your dogs MOUTH not the weight/frame of the dog.I think the people who didn't have success with this toy did not get the right size for their dog's mouth. Planet Dog makes these balls going up to 5 inches and you want to get the size that will be hard for the dog to get to the back of his mouth which is where the dog does the most damage.
Finally a Ball My Border Collie Can't Destroy in 5 Minutes! I love this ball! And so does by dog! It's bouncy like a tennis ball not too heavy for indoor play if you are a crazy dog person who doesn't have anything breakable at dog height and it's very durable. I've had horrible luck with tennis balls even the ones made by Kong or otherwise labeled as tough he pulls the fuzz off of them within minutes of playing with one. He loves this ball and carries it around for hours. He hasn't managed to chew the continents off and I'm quite impressed. It's a fun ball to throw and has a nice bounce. I don't really care for the minty smell but it doesn't seem to bother the dog. I recommend it for folks with dogs who are tough chewers or any dog who likes to play fetch.
