Keeps the cat happy One of our cats loves treats. She'll sit up and beg and occasionally she can be a pest. This treat ball keeps her busy and she'll push it around until she gets enough. What she does not know is the treats inside is just another brand of cat crunchies. She thinks it's treats so she's happy.
Product seems good but Cats didnt take The product is simple to fill and setup. My cats just didn't seem to take to them. Overall was easy to figure out just have to hope that your pet will want to bat it around.
Makes furry butts work for treats The adjustable hole size is the ticket that handles any kind of snack food. I use it for a trio of kitties who all have to work to get cookies. They roll it and chase down the random pieces of treat that tumble out. Perfect for kitties who want treats now they have to work to get goodies. This is a no brainer just buy it. It is hard plastic so can't be thrown or bounced.
Excellent product! I have a rather large 5 year old cat. He is not only extraordinarily long but also has been overweight most of his life. His ideal weight is 13 lbs and he's been at 1819 for about 4 years. His doctor said that he needs to lose weight to avoid complications like diabetes and arthritis but I had no idea how to get him to do that because he constantly begs for food. Then I came across this ball and decided to give it a shot. He lost 4 pounds in about 23 months! He is at his ideal weight now. I feed him 1/4 of a cup in this ball twice daily. It takes him longer to eat and it seems to do trick him into thinking he is fuller when he is finished because it has time to settle. Me little cat thinks it's fun too and tries to chip in. I'm reordering a new ball right now because they did something with the old one and it has disappeared.
lowtech cool! Works as promised. Slowed our cat down at mealtimes and we're no longer dealing with the consequences of her eating too much too quickly.
Kitty's Like Balls I have 2 of theses one Of My cats got it within a min the other one took about a week . I like the adjustable size food openings & easy to clean gets a big thumbs up. I got bit of a work out looking for them . Amazingly They have started leaving it in the same place for MeI have had some trouble with ants that love the food I use moving target gives me a secret weapon in my battle.
3 cats 3 balls One of my three cats gorged on food then threw up everywhere. He Oak has done this his entire life. My female cat Tipsy is fat she will sit and eat all her food then anything she can from the boys and she does not move or play other than to bat at something with one paw. My third cat Silver is a rescue he was abandoned inside a trailer when his owners moved away.
Great product if only My kitten was growing upand out! I have a tiny apartment and we're only allowed one pet so she wasn't getting enough exercise. The PetSafe SlimCat Food Distributor Ball makes her workout for her food and gives her something to do for an extended time. Sometimes she doesn't even eat it all so she even eats less. She has slimmed down and we're both happier! It's very sturdy & well made easy to fill and adjust and just what we needed. If it could be adjusted so smaller pieces of food wouldn't fall out so easily I would give it 5 stars.
Very clever. After cleaning up several piles of cat vomit on the one carpet in my house of course spending lots of money running multiple tests only to find my cat is dehydrated thanks captain obvious I bought this ball. It changed my life. Seriously. I won't go through the many different ways we tried to get my rescue kitty to eat slower because none of them worked. Suffice it to say there were multiple and this ball is the only one that works. I love it.If you're thinking Are there drawbacks? The answer is yes. My hardwoods are cleaned with a steam cleaner each week so chemicals weren't an issue for me but it's something to think about. Also the ball even though mine is bright pink gets lost. I am actually on here ordering another one because I cannot find it anywhere. So if you buy one maybe think about two in case one disappears for a while.
Don't buy for older cats. This ball doesn't work for my cat in the least bit what so ever. Chanel thinks she's a princess and wouldn't eat out of the ball with her life depended on it. In fact the ball was such a failure she was eating food off the floor where her food bowl used to be. When she saw that I was taking her food bowl down she went crazy.So for my cat this ball was a total failure. I would also suggest reading the instructions first because once you break it in half it's almost impossible to put it back together. Always go for unscrewing the lid at the top.All in all not recomended for old cats. Escpecially spoiled ones.
