Fast eaters and bored dogs This little treat ball is wonderful for slowing down my beagle from gobbling her food. She just pushes it around the floor and follows the kibble that falls out. It also keeps her busy for quite some time so I use it when I leave her alone to occupy her time. The medium size is great for small/medium dogs. Larger dogs tend to pick it up and try to chew through the ball.
Good idea but depends on the particular dog After reading the reviews I thought this may help to curb my Doberman puppy's need to chew and steal everything in sight. My puppy is food driven but this ball does not hold his attention for longer than 10 minutes at a time. My older Doberman has zero interest in it. I believe that it will only hold the attention of high energyand highly food driven dogs. If your dog becomes bored quickly and seems to have some sort of doggy ADD then this ball will likely not hold his attention either. However it arrived quickly and in new condition as described by the seller.
Great Dog Toy!!!!! I got this for my dog about 3 years ago at the local pet store. It took her about 15 minutes to figure it out. but once she did it was great to watch her roll it around to get the dog food to fall out. It ws the perfect size to wedge under the kitchen cabinet and she quickly learned how to nudge it back out. the interior baffles keep the kibble from all coming out at once and my dog will roll it around as long as she can hear some still ratteling around inside the ball. Sometimes afterwards as well her hearing is going. When it's empty she rolls it over to me and begs/barks for a refill! I'm ordering more this holiday season for my brothers dogs.
not so great For our beagle the challenge lasted for all of 5 minutes. Since then he's done with it in less than 2 minutes. Beagles are quick when it comes to food and this doesn't do the trick.
Best treat puzzler EVER! This ball really IS Amazeing! Both the dogs I've gotten this for get so very excited when I pull it out to fill it up. My former foster dog is a Bluetick Coon Hound and my dog is a Boston Bulldog. Both are serious food gulpers to the point of choking so this ball fixes that problem plus increases activity. Both win win! Yes I have to refill the medium size ball 3x for my Boston to get his full meal but it's worth it.It does take a minute or two depending on how food motivated your dog is for them to figure it out. Once they do though it's non stop! It's quite fun to watch and interact with them. I like this ball because it's natural rubber so it's soft.
love this treat ball great for heavy chewers This is my favorite treat ball. We have a lab/pointer heavy chewer and a dauschund also a destructive chewer. This ball isn't made of hard plastic but a heavy ruuber type material therefore it isn't loud as the dog work the treats out of it. It doesn't hold a lot of treats so not something you'd want to feed a meal through I would suggest a tugajug for that purpose. It is a great little destractr for the dogs and holds up well. As long as the treats stuffed in it are able to roll out the bll stays in shape and the dogs do not try and rip it apart nd when they do it holds up well.
Finally something that will last We have two bullmastiff puppies and they love to chew everything. This is the only toy that has lasted honestly we have had it for 3 months and it is still like it was when my husband bought it. They love to roll it down the stairs to get more treats out of it its very funny. I am buying another one because it has lasted and then they cna each have their own.
Decent Toy I purchased this toy for my Great Dane hoping it would keep him occupied when he comes to work with me. He will play with this ball but it doesn't hold his interest for long as the treats don't come out that easily. On the plus side its quiet durable and not messy.
VERY DURABLE! And fun! I have a 1 year old APBT and he would chew up other toys like they were nothing. I've tried the everlasting treat ball thing he ate that. Those tire toys? He ate those. Mostly any toy he would destroy in seconds. But this is one of the few things he's not managed to sink his chompers through! Plus its a good way to keep him occupied and having fun. I would just say not to make the treats TOO small or they'll fall out too easily.
Dogs need one of these. Great product. I have a cairn terrier who is an active chewer curious and needs cognitive tasks to keep her occupied. This does that. It is rubber so I was concerned my dog would tear it up quickly and swallow it. For she would eat other rubber toys I bought. However I have had this toy about 6 months and it is as good as new. She chases it around for hours. To dislodge treats that are stuck she simply drops it off of something high. Perfect. It does get dirty rather easily but it cleans off nicely by simply running hot water through it for a bit. I love this product.
